Highschool
Projects
In Highschool I was apart of a new class where high school students would work with local businesses on projects to get experience with the community. These are a few projects I did for that class
1839 Homestead Butterfly Garden
Team Member
Our project was to design a butterfly garden for 1839 Homestead. In my project I have completed most of the research remotely on pollinators, and beneficial insects to have inside of the garden. I have utilized Google Documents to record most of the research in neatly organized tables. I collaborated with my team to come up with design ideas that may attract the insects. I constructed the rough draft idea that my team and I built around. I helped in planning the budgeting and organizing the information to give to the client.

For example, the following pictures are documents I created to help my group organize and access information I have gathered easily and efficiently.

These are a few key skills I learned while working on this project:
-
Became a more effective communicator
-
Participated in projects using Agile development (SCRUM)
-
Brainstormed critically to create creative design ideas
-
Recording detailed research in an understandable format
-
Learned how to clearly communicate completely remotely
-
Learned about plants, nature, and sustainability

Susie Sheldahl -
Grand Opening
Team Member
My group and I have been working with a local real estate agent named Susie Sheldahl to work on promoting her new Grand Opening of her new office. We were originally working on filming, structuring and editing a Grand Opening Video but recent pandemic events have made filing at her office unavailable. Instead me and my group have been working on creating a Timeline board of Susie's successes. The board was originally my idea that with the help of our project manager, Caitlin Maynes, and the whole group we were able to plan our time and begin the process of creating the timeline board. I helped with selecting color schemes and design ideas within zoom calls with my group. I ended up painting the timelines frame black.
